Congratulations to Lobo (Alkemi Beowulf del Roble LS) on earning his Canine Good Citizen today in Washington! His mom Jan said he was a superstar and charmed everyone. Well done Jan and Lobo!
Nina finished her AXJ (Excellent Jumpers title) at the Tamarack Lake AKC trial at Countryside Agility in Edinboro, PA! We neeeeearly had an off course, but we saved it for the Q. Now she starts earning MACH (Masters Agility Championship) points in Jumpers With Weaves, and working on her MXJ (Master Jumpers title)!
I can’t believe they are six months old already! (as I get more pictures and vital stats I will post them, this is what I have so far):
Lobo (Alkemi Beowulf del Roble LS) is 23 pounds and 11″ at the withers, working on tracking, agility and his Canine Good Citizen:
Cricket (Alkemi Braveheart LS) is 13 pounds and has graduated from her first obedience classes and is doing well at puppy agility:
Colby (Alkemi Batman LS) is 16 pounds! He is catching up!
Ollie (Alkemi Breaking Away LS) is 19 pounds and 11″ at the withers and has a new job running to fetch the paper for his mom Pat (see the video in a separate post):
Zhora (Alkemi Blade Runner LS) is 19.5 pounds and 10.5″ at the withers and is working on learning to be a show dog and puppy agility:
Video taken December 31, 2012 of Lobo (Alkemi Beowulf del Roble LS) tracking. He is just FOUR MONTHS OLD! His mom Jan has done a lot of tracking with her Malinois.
Tish has officially finished CPE Level 2 as of today. She went 4 for 4 today at All Dawgs, earning her CL2-R (Standard) and CL2-H (Handler Games) titles. She ran really, really well, AND got her first level 4 Jackpot Q with a score of 62! Yay Tish!
I realize that I updated the world with my big news via Facebook, but some of you don’t do the Facebook thing. This past weekend in Edinboro, Pennsylvania, Nina not only finished her Open Agility title to get all the way into Excellent, she earned her first Time to Beat Q (and was the fastest dog in her class, which meant she set the time to beat and earned 10 points), AND her first Excellent Jumpers leg (on the same day as her Open title, so technically a double Q of sorts, the first time she has EVER done that). And THEN Tish earned her very first AKC title with her Novice Jumpers Q on Saturday. Nina missed her second Jumpers Q on Saturday when I forgot to support the weaves properly, the rest of her course was perfect. So much fun, and so awesome to see things finally coming together!
Tish not only fulfilled my personal Q goal for her of doing the teeter at a trial (she did it twice!), she went FIVE FOR FIVE today. And Nina got a standard Q, now she just needs 12 more for her C-ATCH…

Ollie’s mum Pat sent these great pictures of Ollie. Pat says: “As you can see he is growing fast now. He is as tall as his best friend, corgi Sandy. My very reactive dog, Sky, is now very tolerant of him and they even play. As I have never seen her play with another dog, this was a real treat to watch. Ollie attended his first agility trial two weekends ago. Ollie made progress walking in and out calmly and working with me around other dogs. It was a horse arena, I did not do well keeping him distracted from bits of horse poop. Seems my treats are not as good as them. Ollie can now sit, down, shake hands, and is learning left and right. He has a stay at mealtime but not translated well to a stay in general so we are working on that. Everyone who sees him is crazy about him. I can go nowhere that I don’t get stopped to tell all about him. He is a great Vallhund ambassador since he just wags and loves every one he meets.”
Awesome!
